We are THE BOERS NEST, also known as William and Ellen Adkinson from Lizella, GA, located in Crawford County. Macon, GA. is about 12 miles east of us so we are located almost centrally in the state.    We started in the boer goat industry in 1997. We have been blessed in the goat business with 3 does that are sisters off a buck named Hillbilly. With these 3 does and their offspring we have had some of the best of the best! We could not have managed to do it without the help of the youth at the shows. We will always appreciate them more than they will ever know. Also, thanks to T&M Farms for help at the shows, in the show ring, on the farm and for always promoting our Hillbilly bloodline. We are sad to say we have lost 2 sisters recently. May-May died 12/27/08 and Ewa Sophie died 4/1/09. Sophie died just as tough as she lived. When stray dogs attacked our goats, Sophie fought them and led them to the far end of our property, away from the other goats. We are fortunate to have their offspring to carry on their excellent genetics. Our goal here at The Boers Nest is to raise quality boer goats and to encourage youth in many areas to participate in 4-H and youth shows. William helps put on seminars for the youth to teach them showmanship & how to clip & show because to us the youth are the future of the goat industry.

Our goal in the Boer Goat industry is to raise healthy goats and we strive to improve the production of better quality show and meat goats.  We have been blessed in the goat industry with three does off of a buck named Hillbilly.  These three does (May-may, Calista and Sophie) and their offsprings have produced hundreds of Champions, including the 2004 International Over All National Grand Champion % Doe.  We also lucked up on an EGGSFILE daughter (Eggslinny) who is one of his best.  Our breeding program is based on these four does and their offsprings bred to Ennobled Bucks like: Eggspand,  EWA Tuggy,  EWA Tank, Eggsrayman,  Pal Cloud, and Tripled Ennobled Hidden Hollow Profile.  We have been very pleased and satisfied with our program.  We always welcome visitors, whether they are buyers or browsers!
